During a breathwork session, you can expect to intentionally change your breathing patterns to promote relaxation or feel energised. After a session, you might feel calm, tranquil, or have a sense of lightness. Here are some other things to expect from a breathwork session:
Nervous system regulation: Breathwork can help regulate your nervous system, turning off your fight-or-flight response and activating your rest-and-digest system.
Physical, Emotional and spiritual experience, response and release, time to process and integrate and a journey into wholeness.
Conscious Connected Breathing is routinely practised with an open mouth though nose breathing can also be used and, for some people, is recommended. The key things are that breathing is consistent, it is connected, with no pauses, there is an active inhale with passive exhale, it reaches from top to bottom and is practiced with focused awareness.
- You will be in a safe space and will be guided, with support.
- The practice takes about 90 minutes in total and during this time you will be invited to settle, to ‘inquire’, to ‘breath’ for approximately 50 minutes and to allow a little time for integration.
- Your breathing practice is supported with a track list and guidance.
- There will be the opportunity to receive energetic and physical touch during the breath, if you choose this.
- You will be given the opportunity to share, and this may extend beyond time, but sharing is your choice.
- Most important is that everything will be an invite only. You will be empowered. This tool is a tool that you can develop at your own speed, in your own way, and in your time.
